Broadway Senior - Into The Woods SR

About this event

Enrollment is now open for Into The Woods SR , our 2026-2027 Broadway Senior program… a tuition-based, no-cut educational theatre experience designed especially for adults 55 and over.

The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse, and wind up changed forever.

No prior experience is necessary. Broadway Senior is recreational theatre at its best : a supportive, welcoming environment where participants become the singers, storytellers, and creators who bring a classic musical to life. With rehearsals designed for accessibility and fun, every performer has the opportunity to shine.

Performances of Into The Woods SR showcase a vibrant, condensed version of this Broadway favorite while celebrating the artistry and spirit of our community’s older adults.

For some, this program marks their first chance to take the stage. For others, it is a chance to reconnect with the thrill of theatre in the third act of life. Whatever the journey, TheaterWorks’ Broadway Senior program empowers participants to create, connect, and celebrate the transformative power of theatre.
