During a recent city council meeting, West Valley nonprofit Sounds of Autism presented Litchfield Park with the Unified Responder Community Award to honor its support for residents with autism and at-risk groups, as noted by founding Cricket Barrientos from Goodyear.

The West Valley Mavericks Foundation will host its Maverick Charity Golf Experience on Friday, May 15 at Wigwam Golf Club to benefit Make-A-Wish Arizona, with registration open (11 a.m. check-in, 12:30 p.m. shotgun start and evening activities from 5 to 10 p.m.).
