The Liberty Elementary School District will host an open house for Loretta Zumbro Elementary on Saturday, April 5 from 9 to 11 a.m. at 18304 W.

Lower Buckeye Road — a meeting that offers guided tours and school registration details ahead of the PreK-6 opening this August. The 73,512 square-foot K-8 school — built after the Goodyear City Council approved a 16.25-acre annexation — will serve about 850 students and add seventh and eighth grades in future years.

Residents of Estrella are voting today on whether their homeowners associations will keep enforcing parking and roadway rules, as a failed measure would shift that role to the city; a special membership meeting is set for April 21 (6:00 p.m. at Starpointe Residents Club) to decide the matter.

Native Air opened its new air medical base at Abrazo West Campus with a ribbon cutting attended by crew members, Air Methods and Abrazo Health leaders and nearly 75 guests.

The base has been active since Feb. 5 and will add whole blood on April 2—boosting urgent care for stroke and trauma patients.
