Goodyear is launching its Summer Recreation Program from June 2 to July 18 for children from grade 1 through 8 with fun activities like laser tag, STEM projects and crafts — residents will register on April 7 and nonresidents may sign up on April 14 if space allows.
The program offers full day and half day options, a Camp X-Treme for children aged 8 to 12, a free Junior Leader Volunteer Program for youth ages 13 to 14 and scholarships for families in need.

Many teens in Arizona miss out on key money lessons because most high schools do not require personal finance courses.
Local programs from First Credit Union offer real budgeting practice through Mad City Money—teaching youth to manage expenses as they prepare for financial independence.

The Hearing Loss Association of America West Valley will hold a meeting with Tabitha Parent-Buck (AuD) to explain how some medications may harm hearing.
