- ➤ Cox Communications opened a retail store in Goodyear today (833 S. Cotton Lane, Suite 4) where customers can view interactive demos, buy devices, sign up for mobile service, pay bills, and learn about discounted internet programs for families and seniors. Goodyear Independent
- ➤ This spring, TPQ Foods will open two new restaurant concepts in the West Valley, including one spot in Goodyear. Owner Omar Alvarez said Magdaleña & Paquimex will bring fresh dining flavors and honor local community traditions. Goodyear Independent
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Goodyear City Council approved the fiscal year 2027 Annual Public Art Plan that will add new artworks + maintain existing pieces in several public projects and events across town. The plan includes a permanent installation at Fire Station 188 to boost local community spaces and support economic growth. West Valley View
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, Goodyear City Council approved the SRP Non-Residential Lawn Conversion Program Assistance Agreement to boost water conservation by converting nonresidential turf to low-water landscaping. The 10-year deal provides up to $225,000 in support and includes SRP matching payments up to $5,000 per approved rebate (max $25,000 per fiscal year). West Valley View

- ➤ West Valley Preps announced its 13th annual all team for boys basketball, naming top players from high schools (O’Connor, Millennium, Deer Valley, Willow Canyon) with Cameron Holmes as player of the year and Adan Diggs plus Sergio Gonzales as runners-up.
