- ➤ Independent Newsmedia is partnering with the Arizona Rattlers so that a portion of proceeds from ticket sales for the June 14 game against the Tucson Sugar Skulls will fund local journalism — the game will kick off at 6:05 p.m. at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale. Goodyear Independent
- ➤ Litchfield Park will host Easter in the Square on April 12 at the new Litchfield Square at 279 N La Loma Avenue — families can enjoy an Easter Bunny arrival at 9:30, egg hunts, a petting zoo, face painting, and spring games. Goodyear will hold its Hop & Hops Easter Festival on April 18 at the Recreation Campus at 420 S. Estrella Parkway — the event will include timed egg hunts for all ages and an adults-only beer garden. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Goodyear residents have until Monday, April 21 to register for the upcoming all-mail special election on May 20 which features six ballot questions on charter amendments and utility franchises. Ballots will be mailed starting April 23 and must be returned by Election Day to count. Goodyear Independent
