- ➤ The West Valley Mavericks Foundation raised over $100,000 at the Make-A-Wish Arizona Wish Ball to fund 10 wishes for children in the West Valley, and it will host the Maverick Charity Golf Experience on Friday, May 15 at Wigwam Golf Club to raise additional funds. Goodyear Independent

- ➤ West Valley Preps has announced its 12th annual all-girls basketball team featuring standout Audrey Bhesania (O’Connor) as player of the year. Coach Desirae Carranza (Canyon View) earned coach of the year and players from several schools were honored. Goodyear Independent
