- ➤ The West Valley Astronomy Club will host a free Star Party at Goodyear Civic Square on Tuesday, April 22 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in partnership with the Georgia T. Lord Library—families and skywatchers can enjoy live jazz and guided telescope views of the moon, planets, galaxies and star clusters while following event etiquette. Goodyear Independent
- ➤ Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium + Safari Park will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 19 and 20 as part of regular admission or membership. Children 6 and under will hunt at 1:30 p.m. and those 12 and under at 3:30 p.m. in the playground area at 16501 W. Northern Avenue, where a large ostrich egg is hidden for a special prize, free photos with the Easter Bunny are offered, and returning plastic eggs earns a free child ticket for a future visit+ more fun details are available at the event. - ➤ At the Goodyear Recreation Center, more than 150 business leaders met on April 3 for the West Valley City-to-City Update event, where representatives from six cities (Surprise, Goodyear, Avondale, Litchfield Park, Tolleson and El Mirage) shared plans for economic growth. Chamber officials said the event showed strong local collaboration, with more developments planned (later this year and 2026). Goodyear Independent
