The Walmart Neighborhood Market at 14200 W.
Indian School Road in Goodyear reopened today after a remodel that added a new pharmacy, expanded grocery pickup, and a community mural. A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at 8 a.m. and Walmart will give $4,000 in grants to four local nonprofits (All Cancers Matter Strong Together, Gervonni Cares Inc., Benevilla, and Sounds of Autism).
Cornerstone Healing Center will host the Community Unity Event on June 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.—uniting behavioral health professionals with local leaders and law enforcement—and will address substance abuse, mental health challenges and community safety.
