Libraries in Goodyear and Litchfield Park are serving as free cooling centers under the 2025 Heat Relief Network — with over 200 sites offering air-conditioned spaces and hydration stations available from May 1 through September 30 — to help protect residents from extreme heat.

A newly built industrial facility in Litchfield Park sold for $128.2 million, with the Sarival Logistics Center at 6390 North Sarival Avenue fully leased to Logistics Plus, Inc, showing strong industrial growth in the Southwest Valley.
EQT Real Estate acquired the property, and Cushman + Wakefield arranged the sale after the building was completed in 2022.
