Several West Valley students earned national recognition at the SkillsUSA Championships held in late June in Atlanta – local competitors from West-MEC Southwest Campus in Buckeye and Goodyear, as well as from Estrella Foothills High School, received Skill Point Certificates recognizing workplace readiness in specific technical events.
The nonprofit Haus of Cheer Mentorship will host the free ‘Be The Change’ Teen Youth Conference for ages 11—18 on July 18 at AZ Vineyard Church — near Litchfield Road and Van Buren Street.
Families will gain hands-on leadership experience as the event runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and only 250 tickets are available.
