- ➤ Several West Valley students earned national recognition at the SkillsUSA Championships held in late June in Atlanta – local competitors from West-MEC Southwest Campus in Buckeye and Goodyear, as well as from Estrella Foothills High School, received Skill Point Certificates recognizing workplace readiness in specific technical events. - ➤ The nonprofit Haus of Cheer Mentorship will host the free ‘Be The Change’ Teen Youth Conference for ages 11—18 on July 18 at AZ Vineyard Church — near Litchfield Road and Van Buren Street. Families will gain hands-on leadership experience as the event runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and only 250 tickets are available. AZ Family
