- ➤ The P.W. Litchfield Heritage Center invites local residents to attend a volunteer orientation event on Saturday, July 26 at 10 a.m. at 13912 W. Camelback Road—where participants will learn about diverse roles that support the museum’s mission of preserving Southwest Valley history and culture. Goodyear Independent
- ➤ Calligrapher Renee McAdam will present her talk More Than Words: Traditional Calligraphy in Modern Times on Tuesday, July 29 from 7—8:30 p.m. at the Canyon Trails Training Room in City Hall—she will show photographs of recent projects and explain how calligraphy stays important in a digital age. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Horizon Recovery, Arizona’s teen behavioral health treatment organization, added two West Valley leaders—Kenny Flack as vice president of Growth and Organizational Development and Kellie Barhite as Director of Operations—to boost its mission of expanding care for teens. Flack, a Goodyear native with over 12 years in behavioral health, and Barhite, experienced in client care and reentry programs, join a team that will also open its seventh location this summer.
