🎓 Education
Agua Fria officials announced picture day for Desert Edge students on Aug.
5 (student photos will be used for IDs and yearbooks) as the school year begins.
🏛️ Government
Goodyear City Council approved a new ordinance to regulate e-bikes and e-scooters before enforcement begins in November.
The Police Traffic Unit is hosting three free community outreach events in August, including one on Aug. 8 at Estrella South Lake Park (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) to teach safety guidelines.

Local golfer Michael Daniels won a gold medal in Level 4 traditional golf at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minneapolis while representing the Goodyear Roadrunners.
