- ➤ Today, New Life Center finished its first round of casita renovations after being chosen for the Lowe’s Hometowns Award—upgrading bathroom fixtures, durable flooring, and energy-efficient lighting to create a more welcoming space for survivors of domestic violence. The renovations are the first step in a plan to improve eight casitas. Goodyear Independent
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Petty Officer 3rd Class Michael Robinson, a Litchfield Park native, is serving at the New London Naval Submarine Base in Connecticut. The Navy graduate from Verrado High School joined the service five years ago—he said growing up in Arizona taught him to stay calm in tough situations. Goodyear Independent
