Good morning, Goodyear.
🎓 Education
On Aug. 12, the Agua Fria Union High School District board approved an updated easement that lets Millennium High access lower-cost reclaimed water by allowing Liberty Utilities to shift its planned line 10 feet to avoid damaging the school’s existing irrigation system — a move that could lower field maintenance costs.
🏛️ Government
David Lopez now leads Goodyear’s parks department as he joined the team two months ago and plans to extend the Bullard Wash Trail (a 3-mile project from GSQ to Ballpark) and advance the Recreation Campus to help the city grow safely.
📰 Real Estate
Common Bond Development Group plans a new Sprouts Farmers Market to anchor a master-planned, lakeside retail center along Estrella Parkway near North Lake.
The project will add grocery and dining options for local residents and is set to break ground in Q1 2027.
