- ➤ Rack Room Shoes opened a new store at Canyon Trails Towne Center at 725 S. Cotton Lane in Goodyear, offering shoes for women, men, and children. The 8,000-square-foot store will have a grand opening on September 6th at 10 a.m.—the first 50 customers in line will get gift bags and a chance to win gift cards. Goodyear Independent
- ➤ Nordstrom Rack will open a 25,000-square-foot store at GSQ—on the northwest corner of Bullard Avenue and McDowell Road—in spring 2027 to meet residents' long-standing request while promising new jobs and enhanced shopping for downtown Goodyear. West Valley View
- ➤ Abrazo West Campus is hosting a Friends-themed hiring event to let locals explore job opportunities and see its unique workplace culture firsthand—attendees will gain insight into available careers and benefits at the campus. Goodyear Independent

- ➤ Center Stage Theater Group presents SleepyHollow today in the West Valley at Agua Fria High School—showing the growth of a volunteer-led community theater directed by Sheri Castillo and featuring actor Mike Huang; the sold-out show runs tomorrow and will be followed by a holiday play and spring production later this year. - ➤ Leasing will begin on Sept. 8 for Sonita— a new build-to-rent community on Lower Buckeye Road in Goodyear managed by 29th Street Living and developed by 29th Street Development that offers one to three bedroom homes with upgraded finishes, a pool, fitness center and common gathering areas.
