➤ Litchfield Park will celebrate the United States Air Force's 78th anniversary with a Flag Raising Ceremony at 8 a.m. on Sept. 18 at City Hall's front lawn at 214 W. Wigwam Boulevard — local veterans, dignitaries, and residents will join to honor its history and impact on the West Valley. Goodyear Independent

CULTURE NEWS

➤ WVAC is hosting the IMPRINT: Viva La Cultura exhibit to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with art from Latin and Chicano-American artists across Arizona, and the exhibit will open with a free reception on Sept. 19 from 5-7 p.m.—attendees will enjoy live painting, flamenco dancing, and food from Puerto Rican Pete’s. HEALTH NEWS

➤ Helena Morgan launched Gracious Navigation—focusing on senior care and helping families with aging and dementia—by guiding them through the Arizona Long-Term Care Services process. Morgan also joined the Goodyear Dementia Action Team and will host the Goodyear Memory Café at 10 to 11:30 a.m. every first Tuesday starting Oct. 6. Goodyear Independent
