Business leaders, elected officials and community members gathered at The Wigwam for the West Valley Regional Chamber’s 2025 Awards Gala on September 17.
The black-tie event featured a cocktail hour, dinner and an awards program that recognized outstanding contributions in business, education, community service and public leadership—highlighting a President’s Award to Estrella Mountain Community College.

Community leaders at a recent session explained that a new FDA-approved blood test may help diagnose Alzheimer’s disease earlier—experts described key early signs and the need for prompt care planning.
The event, hosted by the Georgia T. Lord Library and Maricopa County’s Department of Public Health, will be followed by another session at Goodyear’s library on Tuesday, Oct. 21 with AARP representatives to offer more resources.

Villas Goodyear and Villas Litchfield Park held ribbon-cutting ceremonies on Sept.
16 and 17 to mark the opening of two new gated rental communities in the West Valley that offer one- and two-bedroom homes. Villas Goodyear at 870 S.
