- ➤ Goodyear Farms Historical Cemetery will host the annual Día de los Muertos Festival on Oct. 25 as a free event for families in the West Valley. Sponsored by Ballet Folklorico Esperanza, the celebration will include dancers, musicians, vendors+ a community altar for keepsakes of loved ones. Goodyear Independent

- ➤ Millennium boys swimming is in its second Division I season after winning the Division II title in 2023 and is preparing to defend its Arizona crown at the upcoming state meet. Three of the four swimmers on last year's 200-yard medley relay team are returning — giving the team a shot at two relay golds and setting it apart from larger programs. Goodyear Independent
