- ➤ The city of Goodyear will host Ritmos y Raíces, a free celebration for Hispanic Heritage Month featuring Cumbia, Ballet Folklórico, and Mariachi music and dance as well as food from Hispanic-owned vendors—set for Oct. 10 at the Recreation Campus from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will also include a flag garden and craft activities that highlight Hispanic cultures. - ➤ Maricopa County Public Health invites teens and adults to explore public health careers at the Georgia T. Lord Library on October 14 from 6 to 7:15 p.m.—the APEX team will share details on internships, a two-year fellowship, and dietetic programs along with a volunteer initiative for emergency response.
