The city of Goodyear will host Ritmos y Raíces, a free celebration for Hispanic Heritage Month featuring Cumbia, Ballet Folklórico, and Mariachi music and dance as well as food from Hispanic-owned vendors—set for Oct.
10 at the Recreation Campus from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will also include a flag garden and craft activities that highlight Hispanic cultures.

Maricopa County Public Health invites teens and adults to explore public health careers at the Georgia T.
Lord Library on October 14 from 6 to 7:15 p.m.—the APEX team will share details on internships, a two-year fellowship, and dietetic programs along with a volunteer initiative for emergency response.
