- ➤ Today at 6 p.m., potential students and parents will meet with Principal Julie Jones at Goodyear High School to learn about the new Hilltop School for the Arts — set to open in August with about 400 students at the historic Hilltop site in Litchfield Park. Goodyear Independent
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Perryville Women’s Prison in Goodyear will host a cultural and recovery-focused event on November 8th from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to support Native American women preparing to reenter their communities, featuring a traditional Hopi dance performance plus healing and wellness workshops. The event is a collaboration between A Place for Hannah, Scottsdale Recovery Center and the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry to offer community-based reentry support. - ➤ Goodyear High School freshman football players won their first home game on October 15, beating Phoenix Brophy Prep freshman B team 49—39.
