- ➤ Goodyear’s 2025 National Night Out is rescheduled after storms forced its cancellation earlier this month and will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Goodyear Recreation Campus; the family-friendly event hosted by the Goodyear Police Department will feature bounce houses, a petting zoo, face painting, games, food trucks + police helicopter displays + free admission. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Drivers in Maricopa County are advised that ADOT is closing I-17 southbound lanes between Jomax and Deer Valley for pavement sealing starting tonight at 9 p.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday—northbound I-17 lanes and both directions on I-10 near Avondale Boulevard and 75th Avenue will also face closures to improve freeway conditions over the weekend. - ➤ A group of veterans in Goodyear gathered on a calm Saturday morning at The Barn (a nonprofit equine program) to participate in a complimentary six-week horsemanship program that helps ease post-military stress.
