Goodyear resident Cathy Hozian got a refund from StubHub after an eight-month fight over her tickets for Lewis Black’s show that was canceled in February.
She provided an email from Lewis Black’s team—StubHub then updated the event status and issued her refund along with a voucher, and they are now contacting other ticket holders.

The P.W. Litchfield Heritage Center will host a lecture titled 'Eyewitness to History: The Evolution of Photojournalism in Phoenix' on Nov.
20 at Goodyear City Hall from 10—11 a.m. Former KPNX-TV photographer Chuck Emmert will discuss early news challenges—honoring photojournalism pioneer Carol Lynde.
The sidewalks outside the Goodyear Recreation Campus turned into a colorful art gallery as families, students, and local artists joined the annual Chalk Art in the Park celebration.
The free event was hosted by the Goodyear Arts and Culture Commission (held at 420 Estrella Parkway) to offer a creative space for the community.

Desert Edge, a veteran flag football team from the West Valley, will play rival Verrado in a 5A first round playoff game at 6 p.m. today after an 18-12 win over defending champion Canyon View that boosted the team's confidence for tonight's contest.
Eight divers from the YMCA Silver Fins in Goodyear earned second place at the 12th Ulla-Klinger Cup in Aachen, Germany—winning 13 medals among competitors from eight countries and earning praise for their teamwork.
Several team members will compete in February 2026 with the AAU National Team while one diver trains for a 20-meter platform event at the World Cup.
