- ➤ Operation Christmas Child launched its annual donation week on Monday with nearly 5,000 drop-off sites nationwide, and residents can donate shoeboxes of toys and supplies for children until Nov. 24. The Turning Leaf Community Church in Litchfield Park serves as a local drop-off site + today its hours are 10 a.m. to noon. Goodyear Independent
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ More than 7,500 people gathered today at Goodyear Civic Square for the West Valley Heart Walk to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke while learning CPR techniques. The event (presented in partnership with Abrazo and Sun Health) involved over 75 companies and raised more than $310,000 in support of the American Heart Association. Goodyear Independent
