- ➤ Local agricultural leader Ron Rayner was named one of the 2025 Arizona Historymakers at a ceremony in Scottsdale and was honored for his lifetime work in sustainable farming that saves water and improves soil health. He developed water-saving no-till practices and served on several boards (including the Central Arizona Project) that boosted agriculture in the West Valley. Goodyear Independent
- ➤ City officials and 15 community members met at City Hall today to review holiday display options for a Hanukkah menorah amid other decorations. They agreed to move the menorah to a patch of rocks in front of the Great Joy sculpture — it will be illuminated with blue up-lighting and placed opposite the Christmas tree for equal visibility.
