- ➤ Today, Goodyear Ballpark hosts the Brews with the Bravest Festival to honor local firefighters by raising money for the Arizona Firefighter's Foundation through craft beer, live music, food trucks and firehouse competitions; the event runs (2 to 8 p.m.) at 1933 S Ballpark Way (Lot 4) with tickets costing $12.51. - ➤ Families will participate in the annual Polar Plunge at the Goodyear Aquatics Center on December 13 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Participants must register in advance, sign required waivers and will receive a commemorative towel with a prize while enjoying crafts, a scavenger hunt, a photo booth, free hot cocoa and breakfast from the Goodyear Fire Department. - ➤ Litchfield Park officials released their first water conservation and sustainability report this week that shows how the city secures its water and warns that planned rate hikes from Liberty Utilities could sharply increase spending next year. City Manager Matthew Williams said the report sets a planning baseline since the city depends on Liberty Utilities for water and sewer services—officials are now studying new water-saving methods.
